For almost 15 years, Gugulethu has been involved in business development, and has founded a number of companies across many business sectors. Among these are Moonlight Economic Development Forum (MEDF) & Lighthouse Economic Development Institute (LEDI), both of these are NPO’s with a wide ranging networks to entrepreneurs (youth, women et al).
These NPO’s are serving to research and package economic programmes in South Africa, SADC and ultimately have a vision to reach the entire African continent.
Through his many business dealings, Gugulethu has been part in raising close to a billion rand worth of funding from local and off-shore investors. He has advised a number of Ministers, MEC’s, Captains of Industry in the Private Sector and has recently been appointed to the Secretariat of Africa’s Business Leaders Forum (ABLF), a monolithic body for business in Africa – that will encourage intra-trade between African countries.
